The Status of Women Office has released new demographic research that provides a snapshot of the status of women in the province.

Saskatchewan's January unemployment rate of 4.7 per cent (seasonally adjusted) is once again the lowest in Canada - well below the national rate of 8.3 per cent.

The Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Labour has created Student Support Teams to meet with students and answer questions regarding First Nations University.

Advanced Education, Employment and Labour Minister Rob Norris announced today that the Government of Saskatchewan is withdrawing $5.2 million from First Nations University effective April 1, 2010.

These guidelines will help employers, occupational health committee members, safety representatives and workers reduce the risk of incidents and frostbite during outdoor work in cold weather.
