This area of the SEE program is coordinated by the Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Labour.
Eligible Activities:
- Jobs must be career quality postions.
- Jobs are to represent new job activity for the organization.
- Hiring practices must respect collective bargaining agreements and labour laws.
- Participating students will be expected to undertake a self-assessment of the employment experience.
Eligible Costs:
Eligible Costs may be claimed for the period April 2008 to March 2009. Jobs created must have a duration of at least six weeks.
Eligible Students:
Students must be self-identified Aboriginal students who are 15 years and older and either in school or returning to school upon completion of their employment or have graduated within the last six months.
Eligible Organizations:
Organizations making the application must be entities registered pursuant to the Non-profit coporations Act, 1995, an urban, rural or northern municipality, an Indian band, tribal council, or the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan.
